Book review: Photography Now- Charlotte Jansen

I recently bought the new book by Charlotte Jansen for further research into the female gaze and also because I loved her last book.

My first impressions are that the cover image by Zanele Muholi is very striking and matches the colour palette.

There are some photographers that were in “Girl on Girl” and some new ones too. I like that there’s a mixture of male and female photographers and different genres of photography. There are photographers that Charlotte mentioned in her talk too.

My favourite photographers from this book are Juno Calypso, Zanele Muholi, Harley Weir, Mari Katayama, Martin Parr and Farah Al Qasimi.
